"Beachy" Theme

Beach themes are definitively my favorite, there is something about the colors, the smell of the ocean, the sun shining, the sky... I could go on and on.  For Friday Mashup I masked the sun and the sand, added a palm  and also stamped it in green ink and cut it for a more realistic look.  I off set the palm leaves a little to give it the illusion of a shadow from the sun.  The striped paper was created with a new embossing folder I got which I love.  I inked the folder, than ran it through the big shot.  The sketch from Deconstructed Sketch was fabulous for my "beachy"card.  Enjoy!

Masking Tape Background

Mojo Monday challenge is full of inspiration and I really wanted to try a technique with making tape.  I taped the making tape lightly on the ink pad and then on the paper.  The instructions asked to use glossy paper but I had no problem with regular white CS.  I stamped the sentiment and butterfly in black, also on vellum and punched out after adding some glitter.  I really like this technique and know will use it again.  Enjoy!

Iridescent Flower

I wanted to make the flower the focal point of my card.  Originally I thought of embossing it in white but when I was looking for the powder I picked the iridescent instead.  The butterfly was stamped on vellum. I am loving this dry embossing border from SU that did not catch my attention until I realized that the large scallop die fits perfect on both borders.  Enjoy!

Touch of Pink

I'm having a workshop and this 3x3 card is going to be part of a folder that I'm making for a gift.  I used some forgotten papers and added a touch of pink with the flower.  Enjoy!

For You

What a great sketch from PPA, as well as lots of inspiration by the team and the "challenge-es".  After stamping and embossing, I die cut the image once I found a pleasing arrangement.  The DSP added a touch of color without taking away from the flowers.    Enjoy!
