Amazing Father

The sketch from PPA and Masculine theme from TPP gave me the inspiration for this father's day card.  I heat embossed the sentiment and also traced the outside of the die, fussy cut it to be able to have a border around the sentiment. I stressed the edges to give it an old paper look.  Enjoy!

So Sorry

Unfortunately I'm in need of a sympathy card, another life lost to cancer.  So sad. 
I created my template and lightly sponged the colors, added the black border and ribbon.
Take two... didn't like the border showing through the ribbon so I made it more solid by putting two pieces of ribbon together than knotting it.  Enjoy!

Blue Flowers - Birthday

I am loving using paper pads, easy to pick paper combinations without stressing.  I gave this card a lot of dimension by layering first the frame than the flowers and by embossing the leaves.   I also stamped the background for more texture.  Hum... maybe a lighter color instead of Kraft would have looked better.  What do you think?  Enjoy!

Paper Flower

A lot of challenges are celebrating anniversaries, Dynamic Duos is one of them.  I chose DD#7 for my combo and used the sketch from Retro Sketches.  I'm  also entering this card at Simon Says Flower Power challenge.  I die cut the shape into the paper and outlined it in white.  The flower was made with tissue paper and cut with Tim Holtz's die.  Enjoy!

Birthday Candles

This is another stamp I've been wanting to ink and The Sweet Stop has the perfect sketch for it.  I heat embossed the image and colored the birthday candles with Copic markers.  A bit of Stickles on the flame to give it some sparkle and an old sticker finished the card.  Enjoy!
