35th Wedding Anniversary

The challenge requires making a project with a picture so back to my roots I went, scrapbooking.  I had taken this photo of the restaurant sign after we had dinner there and thought of making a page for our 35th Wedding Anniversary.
I scored 1/2 the page to mimic the wood in the sign and used the colors in the picture to create the page.  I also created a small envelope to save the receipt and the fortune cookie papers and tucked it under the picture.  Enjoy!

Five Little Christmas Trees

I ran out of time again.  I thought I had plenty of time and submission is closed.  Oh well, I'm going to post it anyways.  They are a lot of pretty cards with this sketch from Freshly Made. Some are very creative and you can get a lot of inspiration from these talented ladies.  My card is simple but cute and I like the finished result.  Enjoy!

Big Flower

Create with Connie and Mary has a sketch this week that I really like.  I had a few ideas but the big flower got my attention and since I have made several of these flowers for tags, I decided to use it on a card.  You can find this flower in the SU catalog where I saw it for the first time.  I added some Stickles to the i but it didn't  photograph well.  Enjoy!

It's all about Flowers

I like to match the flowers with the DSP and that sometimes can be a problem.  But I was lucky this time because I remembered that I had a similar flower to the one I had stamped and searching for it I went.  I found it quite fast and using the Cricut I cut the flowers in dark blue.  I created the vase with the Ornament paper punch by cutting a small piece at the bottom. The border is from EK, the CS from SU and the DSP I created with the Summer Silhouettes stamp set also from SU.  Enjoy!

I Love You

This is a fun card and I have the perfect use for it... my 35th wedding anniversary.  The idea just popped the instant I saw the sketch from NAC and I will also post it in SUO.  I created different elements by embossing, using DSP, a heart punch, and computer a generated 'I' and 'U'.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the black paper and wanted to emboss it in white but it didn't have enough ink on the stamp...had to cover the oops!  I like how it doesn't look girly but masculine enough to give to my husband.  I hope he will like it.  Enjoy!

It's a Boy!!

Made the card for last week's Freshly Made and missed posting time. OOPS!  Not this week...I like the sketch and my card is ready to post.
This is a combo of two ideas: Freshly Made and the SU Catalog.  I made it for a friend that is having a baby boy and the shower is next month.  As I was looking at the card I thought it would look really pretty for a wedding with silver and the bride's choice of color.  I'm definetively making one.  Everything I used is SU.  Enjoy!

A Snow Flake

I came across this challenge while visiting LeAnne's blog who made a super cute card for this challenge.  After I finished the card I realized it was SU only and unfortunately my card is not.  I wanted to post it anyway just to support this new challenge blog.  Stop by Nacho Average Challenges and play with them. Enjoy!
