For his 60th Birthday

My husband is turning 60 and this is one of the cards I made for him.  I wanted to post it before we leave since I may not have internet at the beach, but I can not get a good picture today.  This is the best picture out of many.  The "typed" paper I made in the computer with some personal information:  like 60th birthday and the date.  Enjoy!

Birthday Balloons

Several ideas came to mind when I saw the sketch from Retro Sketches: flowers, hearts, stars, but I decided to go with balloons.  Color Throwdown had colors that I thought would create a pretty card.  I embossed the white background with birthday hats (I think yellow would have been a better choice).  I cut the balloons with the Cricut and also embossed two of the balloons for dimension. Cut a thin strip of blue and yellow paper for the curly ribbon.  And finally I glued them with thick glue dots at different levels.  Enjoy!

Any Occasion

I do have to admit it was not easy playing with the colors from The Paper Players, but with the sketch from The Sweet Stop challenge I was able to put this card together.  I distressed the Baja Breeze CS with a paper towel and ink and added Stickles to the center of the flowers to add some bling bling.  Enjoy!

Masculine 60th Birthday

I'm enjoying the postings in Seize the Birthday Challenge, great concept to create a masculine and feminine card using the same sketch.  I'm in need of a birthday card for a friend who is turning 60 today and decided to participate in the challenge.  The DSP is from ACMoore and the die from PTI.  I clear embossed the polka dots and created the 4 circles mimicking the paper.
Enjoy!
