Valentine

I have been wanting to use the sweet treat cups and Freshly Made sketch allowed me to create this one.  I wanted to punch a heart but the SU heart can't be used in one piece, so I couldn't. Maybe a Spillbinder's heart die could fit in the center and I'd be able to use the Sweetheart stamp set to create the flower heart in one piece. Any suggestions?  Enjoy!

Birthday Card

I started with another sketch in mind but once I finished the embossing, I didn't want to cover it.  I like the effect of highlighting the raised part of the embossing. It gives it a different look.  I used a couple of punches for the flowers and stained the edges.  Enjoy!

Love is in the Air

This is a beautiful sketch with a fun spin... Non-traditional Valentine.  I used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry for the non-traditional colors and a hot air balloon thinking of the phrase 'love is in the air.'  I tried to do clouds in heart shape but you can't really notice it. I was going for a soft look and used too light of a blue for the sky.  I like it, how about you?  Enjoy!

Daughter's Birthday

This was a very special card for me to make, it's my daughter's birthday card.  She picked the colors and said, "Mom, I would like a card with these colors" and that is what I used.  Tags are one of the things that I always think of using so this challenge was a perfect one for me.  Enjoy!

Simple Birthday Card

A simple birthday card but nicely detailed.  The colors look good together and the touch of Early Espresso anchors the card.  Piercing is something I often forget but will have to use more often. It can add so much to a project and you can create almost any shape you want.  Enjoy!
