In need of a card for my nephew's birthday and the sketch from PPA was perfect again.  The background DP worked with the typewriter, simple but cute.  I like it.  Enjoy!

December Calendar

I wanted to use the calendar for a Christmas card, and this particular one had the dates of the week starting exactly on Sunday, December 1, 2013 just like this year. After trying for a while, I was able to set the month and year in the corresponding box and using the stamp-a-magic stamped the calender. The papers are from a pack I bought super cheap and I like the combination.  Enjoy!

Warm Christmas

ColourQ and Sweet Sunday gave me the inspiration for this cad.  I was able to use some forgotten supplies like flower soft and a never used brick embossing folder.  Enjoy!

Splatter Technique

I was inspired by Mackie's card to participate in this week Freshly Made challenge and also by the technique that  Chrissie used in making her card for Take it, Make it Challenge Five.  Thank you Mackie and Chrissie for two beautiful cards.  I was able to used things I already had to create this card and that made me happy.  I used a stencil to create the background using VersaMark and clear embossing powder.  For the splattering I used my re-inkers adding some water to dilute the color and a brush.  The sentiment I tacked under the the leaves and it reminder me of the little envelope sticking out of a bouquet of flowers.  Enjoy!

Project Life Pocket

Two great challenges for my first Project Life page, Deconstructed Sketch and CAS-ual Fridays.  I added a tab where I am going to write the sweetest thing my daughter did for me on the way to the hospital for my surgery.  I took some extra pictures to share with you how I created the pocket.  I am not into sequins but I do have to admit that I like how they look on this project.  I'm happy with the way a used the two challenges.  Enjoy!

I taped only 3 sides leaving the top open to insert the tag
I cut the top red portion and adhered it to the top of the tag
Here is the tag that comes out with the top red portion.

Project Life Tittle

The sketch from Seize the Sketch is perfect for the tittle in my Project Life album.  I finally made my first page and are looking forward to adding pictures.  There are too many awesome challenges out there that I am going to be using for my pages.  Enjoy!

Project Life

I finally started my Project Life photo album and the inspiration came from a bible verse that I got via email at a perfect time.  I was having surgery and was kind of worried about it.  Most of all I was concerned about my daughter and how she was feeling.  When I read the bible verse I knew He will keep me safe.  Isaiah:4
The sketch from the Sweet Stop challenge is perfect for one my pockets. The colors from ColourQ are a bright combination and inspired me to create this pocket.  Oops! Internet was too slow and didn't get the picture on time to post it :(   Enjoy!

Amazing Daughter

God has blessed me with an amazing daughter, I am so proud of her.  Her birthday just passed and I never gave her a card, so here it is.  We went to the beach to celebrate her birthday with family and friends and I thought this would be a good card for the occasion.  I was really inspired by this card, too cute.  Enjoy!

Teacher's Anniversary

It is 3:45am and I'm still up and crafting, that's what coffee does to me.  Today I had an excuse for drinking it... I had a migraine headache and caffeine helps.  I took Lilian's challenge from Friday Mashup and Simons Says to create this almost school card.  I computer generated the notebook page as the sentiment.  I think this would be cute for a teacher's anniversary from the husband/wife :)  Enjoy!

Music Notes

The colors in CAS-ual Friday as well as the sketch from retro sketches got my attention.  I knew I wanted to do something related to music and the colors appealed to my idea.  Using the music wheel from SU I created the panels.  Searched my sticker file and found these music notes and piano keys which fit perfect with my theme.  Enjoy!

Airy Look

I love the color combo from Color Throwdown and the sketch from My Favorite Things.  I wanted to add a little bling bling to the flowers but the ink ran and it kind of change the color a little bit.  The idea was to create an airy look without too many flowers and the stamp set from SU help me achieved it.  I also got to use the banners from MFT and I love them!!  Enjoy!

36 years later!

I usually try to fit several challenges into one, so I used the sketch from Retro and the colors from ColourQ which seemed  appropriate for a guy.  I stamped the colors creating my focal point first, than cut out the heart and adhered the panel with dimensional.  I think my husband will like this card and together we'll celebrate 36 years later :)  Enjoy!

Vintage/Modern

I wanted to make a vintage/modern look card and I think I achieved my idea.  The print panel was created with a paper tape roll that I bought long, long time ago.  I have been trying to use things from my stash and I have made a few cards using them.  I added the little flowers on a pine branch as a finishing  touch.  Enjoy!

Pretty Shoe

I knew the minute I saw the shoes stamp set it would be perfect for the Alley Way be Inspired challenge.  I had a sketch I wanted to use...  Freshley Made.  I stmaped the shoe in the square in black and a second time using black heat embossing, which I fussy cut, used dimensional to adhere after coloring it with Copics. The EF is from Darice and I love it.  Enjoy!

Blackboard Tech on Blue

Instead of doing the blackboard technique on black, I used Night of Navy and I think its not bad.  I created the curvy shape and embossed with the wood EF.    I first stamped the sentiment with white ink than heat embossed also in white moving the image just a bit.  I combined the photo and the sketch creating a Fusion card.  The button I had to make, not one grey button in my stash.  Enjoy!

Seize the Sketch #1

A new challenge blog created by Lesley Croghan... Seize the Sketch.  Congrats and best wishes!!  I used a knitting ribbon that I bought years ago and never used, very appropriate for the challenge. I took a piece of CS and covered it with double sided tape, placed the ribbon over the sticky side to secure in place.  The banner is from Verve and the sentiment from SU.  Enjoy!
