Can't go wrong with red and green for Christmas, although I've seen great colors being used that are very pretty together. I made this gift card holder with some old papers I had and a perfect gold ribbon to add some glimmer. Enjoy!

Christmas Card
Definitely not traditional Christmas colors, but I love this combo. I was inspired by this talented crafter but couldn't find gold papers I liked, so decided to try a different color combination. The poinsettia die went through the crimper for more texture. Enjoy!

'O Christmas Tree
I found this technique on Pinterest and gave it my own twist. The card was in serious need of some Christmas spirit so I cut a banner in gold and it made a huge difference. Enjoy!!

Wedding Card
Great sketch from Sweet Sunday and perfect for a last minute wedding card my daughter needed. The theme colors for the wedding are cream and gold so I used those colors to make the card. Enjoy!

Share Handmade Kindness.
I was motivated by Jennifer's video on Share Handmade Kindness, unfortunately I didn't realize it was for a stranger this week. However, it is handmade with the desire of putting a smile on someone's face. A few years back I was given a starter friendship bread bag, the recipe and of course the bread. I baked 6 friendship breads and will be giving them away. One in particular will be going to a sweet lady that lost her husband to cancer last year, I know it will mean a lot to her. I also made a card and tag for the friend that gave me the starter bag. Enjoy!

Baby Girl
In need of a baby girl card but short on time. Luckily the sketch from Sweet Sunday made it easy to put together. Lots of cute ideas from the team as well as the "challenge-es". Used an old sticker I had, embossing folder and punches. Enjoy!

Flower Trio Punch
The colors from Runway Inspired and the sketch from Freshly Made inspired this card. Tags and birthdays added the final touch to this card. I first punched the three flowers and then cut the tag. I stamped and punched the flowers and pop them just a bit with a glue dot. Enjoy!

Autumm Card
Playing again with distress inks. It takes practice to get the feel of the pressure and blending, but I'll keep at it until I get it right. I heat embossed the leave in black, fuzzy cut it and with the Versamark brush I created sort of a border to make the leave pop more and heat embossed in black too. Enjoy!

Distress Ink
Recently a friend taught a class with distress inks and this was a piece that was left from the class. A black card base, a couple of punches and this is the end result. Enjoy!

Happy 29th
Bad pictures again :( can get it to focus. The idea for my card to create a little note pad to hand write the birthday wish Although I don't like my hand writing that was the idea behind the note pad, so I made it. Stamped a series of candles in three of the colors in the paper. The colors are a little brighter than in the picture and what I had in mind was not the end result. Enjoy!

Wedding Cheers
I sure enjoy seeing how everyone uses the sketches, so many creations! I used a die from Simon Says. I had to cut and paste in order for it to be noticeable, not an easy job and time consuming. Enjoy!

Baby Girl
Had to rush to make to it before deadline at Retro Sketches and to make it worse, the light was not cooperating and the picture is not clear. Clear pictures for me is a problem, any suggestions? My daughter needs a baby girl card and I think this is very girly. Used an old pack from SU, the colors seemed appropriate and added some mini green diamonds for shine. Enjoy!

Birthday
I find white to be so crispy for background, color just pops! I cut 6 birthdays and glued them together to raise it a bit. Again washi tapes, and this new pack with chevrons in rainbow colors were used to create the multicolor base. Enjoy!

Dies and Washi Tapes
In keeping with the theme of the last workshop "washi tapes", I chose the sketch and die challenge to create this card. Dies can really add dimension to a card and allow your imagination to fly. Washi tapes can make it easy to add layers of colors and patterns without having to cut. It can be addicting, so many to choose from but lots of fun to work with. Enjoy!

Washi Tapes
Getting together with "las muchachas" to use up the growing basket of washi tapes. The idea came from this card and the sketch from Freshly Made. I used wahi tapes, of course, adhered to a white piece of CS and a die to cut the candles. Not much to it but a cute bday card. Enjoy!

Stencil Techniques
Had fun making the flower with a stencil technique found here. I also used joint tape and distress ink to create the background. The flower is very crisp and has lots of dimension, the water color paper gave it a nice texture. Enjoy!

Butterflies
Used this card for a workshop and CAS it from the new SU catalog. The colors are so pretty together and stacking the butterflies over the hexagon gave it more dimension. Enjoy!
