Last Christmas Card

This is a great challenge from Deconstructed Sketch for my last Christmas card.  I rotated the sketch and made it horizontal and chose not to use the traditional Christmas colors.  I think the colors look good with the Nativity theme.  I stamped the sentiment first to create a soft background and embossed the Nativity stamp with a clear pearl powder after stamping it in Soft Suede and a second time in Versamark.  The pearl embossing powder changed the color a bit, it made it a little greyish.  Enjoy!

I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and lots of blessings for the New Year.
Remember that the real celebration is the birth of Jesus Christ whose love for us is totally unconditional.

Anything Christmassy - Treat Bag

"Anything Christmassy" is the challenge at Simon Says and I have a cute little bag that I made for my crafty group.  I used pretzel bags and stickers I bought long time ago on clearance, so glad I got to used them.  The tags were made with a punch from McGill.  Enjoy!

December 25

I needed a gift bag and couldn't find the right size.  I went to the Dollar store and found this really cute craft and red paper and I love it.  The idea to make this bag came from the 2-4-6-8 box but I changed the measurements to fit my gift. The tree out of punches came from the SU catalog, using several punches and solid and print papers  Of course I needed a card, so blog hoping I went and liked the sketch from Freshly Made and was inspired by Tui's card.  I have the Mat Stack die and I could make the card to match the bag.  I stamped the Kraft paper using Versamark, embossed the red paper and added dimension to all lawyers.  Enjoy!

Colorful Snowflakes

I know snowflakes are white but I like this fantasy card.  The colors from ColorQ gave me the idea and since I wanted to make the Paper Players challenge, which is snowflakes, I thought it could work.  The sketch from the Sweet Stop is one I liked and The Friday Mashup wanted heat embossing.  I again used the Epson salt technique for the white background to add some shine to my card.  You can't really tell in the picture but the white is out of this world.  I heat embossed the blue snowflakes with pearl embossing and they also look great. Enjoy!

Second take:  Added 3 diamonds to the snowflakes for some bling-bling!

Tags from scraps

Do I have scraps!! This is the perfect opportunity to use some of my scraps, solid, prints, ribbons...you name it, I have them.  Tags are fun to make. They can be used all the time, it does not matter what the occasion is.  Tags are the perfect little touch.  I used punches and dies to create this cute little tag. I'm using the computer to print the names and inserting it under the snow flake.  Enjoy!

Christmas Card Easel

A different easel card and I'm very happy with the results!  I was inspired by a card that my friend sent me made by Susan.  I started by using the Ornament punch from SU but for some reason it did not go well, but I will try again.  I had purchased the stamp set that Susan used on her card and I really wanted to use it.  It is a very cute set.  I placed a battery operated tealight candle behind the vellum paper opening to use it as a luminary.  Enjoy!

Baby Jesus

After struggling to make this card and even having to walk away from it, I like the way it turned out.  I created the craft DP by stamping with Versamark and colored the image with Pearlescent Chalks.  I just wanted to add a little touch of color and a very soft shine.  The colors from the Paper Players and the sketch from The Sweet Stop were the main ingredients to my inspiration.  Enjoy!

It's about the sentiment

Came across this challenge "Clearly I Stamp" and the sketch got my attention.  The main focus is the sentiment and mine is computer generated.  I moved the sketch to the lower right corner, somehow it fit my idea better.  I used a combination of SU papers and the Poinsettia die from Spellbinder. Enjoy!

Christmas Poinsettia

I had a hard time deciding on a theme, lots of inspiration on this one.  Once I picked the papers, I had to do a Christmas theme and I used the Poinsettia die cut.  What a beauty!!  I embossed the sentiment in gold and added a gold brad to add some sparkle.  This is a sketch I will use again, great possibilities.  Enjoy!

PS:  I changed the picture to a better one.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Little Box

The Friday Mashup challenge inspired me to created this project and as usual, I stopped at The Paper Players to check their challenge and the snowman triggered an idea.  I knew I didn't have a small enough stamp but my crafty friend would, so borrow it from her I did.  Tags! More ideas...There She Goes challenge this week is a tag.  Put it all together and I came up with this cute little box full of chocolates with a snowman tag.  That qualifies, right?  I colored the snowman using the blender pen and ink pads, added tiny diamonds and a snowflake to have some bling-bling.  Enjoy.

Christmas ~ Sweet Sunday

This cute challenge gave me the opportunity to use my mini punches and stamp set.  I used dimensionals to pop the squares and the punched out figures.  Added some glitter to the back ground to give it some bling-bling.  Enjoy!

Nativity - Epson Salt Technique

I have been playing with the Epson salt technique and created several sheets in different colors, but the one in white is just beautiful.  The sparkle on the paper and the star burst effect is amazing.  I wish it would show better in the picture so you can appreciate how pretty it looks.  I rotated the sketch from The Paper Players and used the colors from Dynamic Duos.  Enjoy!

Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving

What a perfect combo... Paper Players - gold or silver, Friday Mashup - leaves and thank you, ColourQ - Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Concord Grape, and The Sweet Stop - sketch.  I'm surprised as to how easy the idea came together.  I dry embossed, dabbed colors with a blender, gold heat embossed and punched some leaves.  Finito!  Enjoy!

Christmas Blessings

The colors from Dynamic Duos gave me the inspiration to use a new Christmas stamp I had bought.  The sketch is from Freshly Made but I didn't have time to enter my card there.  I heat embossed the Nativity theme thinking it would make it look a bit more finished.  The border is from MS and is one I really like.  Enjoy!

PCS October 2012 ~ Halloween Hoopla

Are you ready for some ghoulish and glamorous ideas for Halloween?  If so then you'll want to check out the October issue of the Sampler.  This month we share those delights for the haunting holiday. The template for the month is the "Ghouls Hangout".

My project can really be used for any occasion just by changing the accent and the colors. I don't celebrate Halloween so I created mine pumpkin themed which can be used all throughout the fall season. I also created an autumn themed one for myself with autumn leaves which I really liked. Be creative and add your own theme to create your own personalized invitation and party favor!

Thanks a "latte"

I created this card thinking of The Paper Players after already entering one I made earlier.  Not sure if I can link two. However, I used the sketch from Freshly Made which I thought was good for the theme.  The DP are retired from SU and the cup paper I created myself by stamping the cup in different colors.  The sentiment was computer generated.  Enjoy!

Just for You

My inspiration came from Helen of H2 Designs who thought outside the box by making a card with a different kind of cup... a bra cup.  GENIUS!  Not only is the card cute, the sentiment is perfect.
The challenge from Paper Players is about cups and I couldn't pass the opportunity, I had to make one.  I used pink/black and white because this card will also be donated to Breast Cancer Centers and posted in Link Up for Cancer.  The sketch is from Retro Sketches.  Enjoy!
